Le Fini in the Community

Monique Schmidt

Monique Schmidt's passion for community growth began when she completed a Habitat for Humanity house project in Houston in college. After graduation, she then traveled to West Africa for two years with the Peace Corps. Upon returning to the states, she worked on Indian Reservations and taught in community colleges and in prisons. She returned to Africa for several years to start schools for genocide survivors.
Monique is thrilled to be spearheading Le Fini's Community Outreach. She thrives on helping others discover their potential and watching people bloom. Le Fini's first community project, Queen Beez, helps middle school girls' grow into leaders while they learn about the importance of protecting our environment.

Victoria recognizes the importance of not only creating healthy beautiful manes but also a healthy and beautiful community. One of her goals as a businesswoman in the Shaw Community is to help with the strengthening of Washington, DC. A place she has called home for over 25 years. To that extent she has partnered up with and fundraised for local non profit, Living Classrooms, creating their first ever middle school girls’ environmental leadership program. With Le Fini being a “green salon” it was imperative that the girls be on board with saving our environment. The girls meet in a green space in DC on Saturdays and learn how to care for the environment and also how to become strong community leaders.
